Friends,
Thank you!
I am honored and humbled by the result of yesterday’s election. This campaign was fueled by your grassroots effort–we owe this victory to you.
Since January 1st, over 350 volunteers dialed over 45,000 phone numbers and delivered over 28,000 pieces of campaign literature–only that type of support could turn a political outsider who nobody knew, with a name nobody could pronounce, into the Mayor of our incredible city.
Over the course of this campaign, I outlined a vision of Burlington at its best–a place that is more affordable with safer communities; that has good jobs, new businesses, and a thriving downtown; that finishes the work of reclaiming the waterfront from its industrial past; that rids poverty from our neighborhoods and is more diverse and better educated every year.
Getting there will not be easy. This city needs your help more in the next three years than it did in the last three months. I ask you to join me in helping to make Burlington be its best!
The conversations to start us on the right track begin now. So, I’d like to invite you to join me at an open breakfast tomorrow from 8-9am at The Spot at 210 Shelburne Road.
I am excited about the future of our great city. And I look forward to serving you and our community in the years to come.
With gratitude,
Miro
